Calliope Hummingbird Mosaic is made of hand-cut stained glass and colored Italian mirror glass. Hummingbirds are active in early morning, depicted here with a river behind the clients' home. The Selasphorus calliope is a rare type of hummingbird with distinctive purple feathers. The mosaic was inspired by a repeat visitor to the clients' garden over several years. They named him Calvin.
