Krysia Ara (Krisha) specializes in public art, mosaic, ceramic, and sculpture. In recent years she has primarily focused on installing creative projects around her hometown of Athens, Georgia and vicinity.
Public art projects include Project Ginkgo mosaic light pole bases around downtown Athens, mosaic play sculptures in Harris Shoals Park, Heron Sighting mosaic mural in Dudley Park, Flow Mosaic seat walls of Cobbham Triangle Park, and a variety of mosaics in the Children's Garden at the UGA State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
Krysia has spent years developing technical expertise to create work that has proven to stand the test of time. She has long sought out skilled artist mentors near and far, preferring to learn hands-on, exploring different mediums, materials, and styles.
She likes collaborating on commission and community art projects as well as working in her enchanted art garden. Community enthusiasm for her local-centric projects has been much appreciated.
Krysia has three cats, one named Moxie, so she DOES have Moxie! A frugal traveler to over 50 countries, she's inspired by the beauty of nature and interesting cultures in our magical, challenging, and resilient world.
