The Green Anole Lizard mosaic play sculpture was created between Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 and installed in late May. The lizard sits on top of a heart-shaped leaf. The project was inspired by my late sister Michelle Haag, a veterinarian who had a deep love for "herps" (reptiles and amphibians).

Prior to beginning, I attended an advanced sculpture workshop with Sherri Warner Hunter, who devised this mosaic sculpture method and provided essential guidance for my project. 
With the exception of welding of a simple structural armature with local artist and welder extraordinaire Leonard Piha, the sculpture was created entirely in my studio, and then transported to the prepared site.
